Scallops and Stripes

Yipee my first blog post!

Could putting scallop trim and stripes together be a form of pattern mixing? I'm not quiet sure. Please leave your opinion in the comments below!

Personally I think scallop trim and stripes make for a good match. Here is how I put the two together:
